This year being my first year of
high school, I have many goals I’d like to accomplish for this year.
Academically, I’d like to attempt to expand my vocabulary. There’s a countless
amount of words out there that I’m sure I’ve never even heard of in my life. I
feel like it’s important to be able to understand and use them, so such
extravagant words don’t go to waste. Later on in life I’m sure having a larger
vocabulary would most likely be helpful in whichever career choice I choose to
take. Spiritually, I’d like to get to explore more about all religions than
just Christianity. Being raised in a Christian home and family, the only
religion I’ve been taught my entire life has been Christianity, and I’ve just
gone alone with it believing it’s right not even questioning my own thoughts on
what I think is true. With so many different religions in the world there are
so many choices in what to believe in and you shouldn’t be held to believing in
one just because you were raised in a family that’s been telling you to believe
in it. Therefore, I think it’s very important at some point in your life to ask
yourself what you want to believe in and not be dependent on the thoughts of
other people telling you what is right. Socially, I want to be involved more
with people who have the same interests as me. When I say people, I don’t only mean
in school. I mean on the internet aswell. One of my favorite parts of the day when I get
home is when I take out my laptop, log onto my twitter, and tweet about foster the
people with my internet friends for the rest of the night. Even though some of them live halfway across
the world they are some of the best friends I’ve ever had.
